This Payment Policy explains the accepted payment methods, pricing terms, payment authorization, refund processing, and other payment-related conditions that apply to purchases made through https://www.ruhungary.com/.
Accepted Payment Methods
We currently accept the following payment methods at checkout:
- Credit and Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover
- Digital Wallets and Express Checkout: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay
- PayPal: Available at checkout
The payment methods displayed during checkout are the payment options currently available for the applicable customer, device, location, and order.
Some digital wallets or payment methods may only appear when supported by the customer’s device, browser, location, or payment account.
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can begin processing.
Currency and Pricing
Prices on our website are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless another currency is clearly shown during the shopping or checkout process.
Before submitting payment, customers can review the applicable product prices, quantities, selected options, discounts, shipping charges, taxes, and final order total.
The amount charged by Ruhungary will be displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.
We do not intentionally add undisclosed mandatory charges to an order after payment has been submitted.
Free Standard Shipping
Ruhungary provides free standard shipping on all orders placed through our website.
Free standard shipping refers to the shipping charge imposed by Ruhungary. It does not include taxes, currency-conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other fees independently imposed by governments, customs authorities, financial institutions, payment providers, or carriers.
Taxes
Applicable sales tax or other legally required tax may be calculated based on factors such as the shipping destination, products ordered, sales channel, and applicable tax rules.
Any tax collected as part of an order will be displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.
International Customs and Import Charges
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, processing fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country, customs authority, carrier, or another third party.
When these charges are not collected during checkout, they may be assessed separately after the order is placed.
These external charges are not shipping fees charged by Ruhungary and are not controlled by Ruhungary.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the import requirements that may apply in their destination country before placing an international order.
Currency Conversion and External Payment Fees
If a customer uses a card, PayPal account, or other payment account issued in a currency different from the currency displayed during checkout, the customer’s bank or payment provider may perform a currency conversion.
The bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider may apply its own exchange rate, foreign transaction fee, currency-conversion fee, or international payment fee.
These external rates and fees are determined by the applicable financial institution or payment provider. They are not controlled or collected by Ruhungary.
Customers should contact their financial institution or payment provider for information about external account fees or exchange rates.
Payment Security
Our online store and checkout are powered by Shopify. Shopify maintains PCI DSS compliance, and payments are processed through Shopify and the applicable payment provider selected during checkout.
Payment information is submitted through the checkout and payment-processing systems for authorization and processing.
Ruhungary does not directly store complete credit card or debit card numbers on its website or servers. Complete payment credentials are handled by Shopify and the applicable payment providers through their payment-processing systems.
Customers should not send complete card numbers, card security codes, payment-account passwords, or other sensitive payment credentials to Ruhungary by email, telephone message, or other unsecured communication.
Payment Authorization and Order Review
When an order is submitted, the selected payment method may be authorized or charged as part of the checkout process.
Successful payment authorization does not by itself guarantee that an order will be accepted, processed, or shipped.
Orders remain subject to:
- Successful payment authorization
- Product availability
- Complete and accurate billing information
- Complete and accurate shipping and contact information
- Verification of important order details
- Applicable payment-security and fraud-prevention review
- Compliance with our published store policies
We may place an order on hold or cancel it when payment authorization fails, important order information cannot be verified, suspected unauthorized activity is identified, or the order otherwise violates our published policies.
If an order is canceled for payment or security reasons, we will notify the customer using the contact information provided with the order when reasonably possible.
Temporary Authorization Holds
A bank, card issuer, PayPal, or another payment provider may display a pending transaction or temporary authorization hold after an order or payment attempt.
A temporary authorization hold is not always the same as a completed charge.
If an order is not completed or is canceled, the applicable payment provider may require additional processing time to release the authorization hold.
Ruhungary does not control the timing of a bank or payment provider’s authorization-release process.
Customers should contact their bank or payment provider if they need additional information about a pending transaction.
Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment is declined or cannot be completed, the order will not begin processing until a valid payment has been successfully submitted.
Customers should verify that their card information, billing address, account balance, and other payment details are complete and accurate.
For privacy and security reasons, Ruhungary may not receive the specific reason a bank, card issuer, PayPal, or another payment provider declined a transaction.
Customers may contact their payment provider for additional information or use another payment method displayed during checkout.
Order Confirmation
After an order has been successfully submitted, an order confirmation email is generally sent to the email address provided during checkout.
The order confirmation may include the order number, ordered products, selected options, quantities, shipping address, and order total.
Customers should review the order confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if any information appears incorrect.
Receiving an order confirmation does not override product availability, payment verification, order review, or the other conditions stated in this Payment Policy.
Discounts and Promotions
Promotional discounts are subject to the conditions displayed with the applicable offer.
A valid discount must generally be entered or applied before payment is completed. Expired, invalid, or ineligible discounts cannot be applied.
Discounts may be limited to eligible products, customers, destinations, or order values. Multiple discounts may not be combined unless the applicable offer clearly states otherwise.
The applicable discount and final order total will be displayed during checkout before payment is submitted.
Discounts cannot normally be applied retroactively after an order has been submitted.
Refund Processing
Refund eligibility and return procedures are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.
For an eligible returned product, Ruhungary reviews and issues an approved refund within 1–3 business days after receiving and inspecting the returned item.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the order unless another method is required by applicable law or agreed to in writing.
Ruhungary does not charge a restocking fee for eligible returns.
After a refund is issued, the customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider may require additional processing time before the funds appear in the customer’s account.
Ruhungary cannot control or guarantee the payment provider’s posting time after the refund has been submitted.
Payment Questions and Disputes
If a customer notices an incorrect, duplicate, pending, or unrecognized transaction, the customer may contact us so we can review the available order and payment records.
Customers should provide their order number and a description of the payment concern. Customers should not send complete card numbers, card security codes, passwords, or other sensitive payment credentials.
We may provide relevant order, payment, shipping, delivery, communication, return, or refund records to the applicable payment provider when responding to a payment dispute.
Nothing in this Payment Policy limits any legal right a customer may have to contact their bank, card issuer, PayPal, another payment provider, or an applicable consumer-protection authority.
Changes to This Payment Policy
We may update this Payment Policy when our accepted payment methods, checkout procedures, business practices, or legal obligations change.
The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
